Monetary Donations

hands2

Donations help us to give assistance to those who might not be able to access services and also help to reduce the shortfall between health care reimbursements and the actual costs of providing our services to the communities we service.  All donations are tax deductible whether cash, credit card or appreciated stock.  Some of the other ways you can donate and support us are listed below.

Bequests

A bequest in your will is a very thoughtful and simple way to remember the Franklin VNA & Hospice.  You may choose to designate the VNA to receive cash, land, pension funds, real estate and / or other assets from your estate.  Your bequest should be designated to the Visiting Nurse Association of Franklin.

Donations via United Way

When you give to the United Way, you have the option of directing your donation to the Franklin VNA & Hospice.  The United Way requires that an agency use your donation for program expenses only, not overhead, so you can rest assured that your money is being maximized in serving others.

Memorials

Remembering a loved one, a special person, or one who has passed away is a wonderful tribute.  The gifts say so much about your regard and love.  Memorials lift the spirit of families when they have lost a loved one.  The person or family you designate will receive notification of your contribution, (with no amount mentioned) and your gift is tax-deductible.  Checks should be made payable to the Visiting Nurse Association of Franklin.

Fund Raisers

Franklin VNA & Hospice holds a number of fund raisers throughout the year that help offset the costs of providing service.  Hospice programs, in particular, are traditionally self-supporting and rely on fund raisers to be able to offer this service to the community.  Some of our fund raisers are described below:

The Hospice Flower Sale is held in April of each year and gives people in the community a chance to order lovely hanging plants, potted flowers and flats to enhance the beauty of their homes.  The plants are available for pick up early in May and make great Mother's Day gifts!

The Hospice Wreath Sale is much like the Flower Sale but occurs in fall.  All wreaths are locally made in Franklin and are available for pickup in November.  They are fragrant and just perfect for the holidays.

Gathering of Music

The Gathering of Music is held each November, usually the Sunday preceding Thanksgiving, and is both a tribute to Hospice and a  remembrance of Hospice patients who passed during the year.  This event is held at a local church and features church choirs and soloists from surrounding communities' churches.

Volunteer

Franklin VNA & Hospice has several volunteer opportunities that do not requirekid_cheerspecialized training. Our volunteers perform administrative and clerical duties, plan and staff special events and fundraisers, and even do landscaping at the VNA office.

General Donations

As a non-profit agency, we welcome community donations that support our services.  Your non-directed donation will be used to help provide care to patients of all ages in financial need.  Contributions in support of home health care services are accepted with appreciation throughout the year.
